Last Sunday, Sydney, Paul and I had s great time together.
In circle time, we practiced circle time songs, practiced animals with animals puzzles, and kids tried to sang Chinese "old McDonald has a farm" and " animal says" with me. We pretended to be different farm animals.
In math, we practiced addition, like "1+2=3", "2+3=5", with the little bears toys. Kids also practiced "left/right hand", colors, numbers with these little bears.
In literacy, we read the story "Dots", " Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see" and " The very hungry caterpillar". I hope the kids enjoyed the stories.
In craft, we made "3-D hand" this week. Both of them were so excited about the 3-D effect. We outlined our hands, draw the lines, and colored each section. Kids were so patient and looked forward to the 3-D effect.
During snack time, we also listened to Chinese song " counting ducks" and "Old McDonald". Kids loved the songs so much that forgot to eat snack several times.
So looking forward to seeing them this Sunday!
These two weeks, Sydney, Paul and me shared lots of laugh and fun time.
In Math, we played math matching puzzle. Children need to count their pieces of puzzle in Chinese and find the correct matching piece. After they found all the matching cards, we practiced saying number phrases in Chinese, like " five cars 五辆车". Children practiced numbers, nouns and measures words in Chinese. We also sang our number songs with the cards.
In literacy, we read several story books, like " This is how we take a bath", " Elmo's book". With this books, we practiced actions, shapes, colors, and simple phrases like " where is .../ ... 在哪里", " Here it is/....在这里“. "This is how we take a bath" is the funniest one. We sang a song and did the actions that pretended we were taking the bath with the animals in the book.
In Music, we kept practicing "twinkle twinkle little star 小星星“.
In Craft, we made paper-rockets last weekend, and played a rocket game with the rockets. The children also practiced “走走走walk walk walk" while we played the game. This week, we didn't have craft, but both kids kept asking me "when is it gonna be craft time?". I believe they enjoyed making crafts with me :-)
We also practiced Mandarin with flashcards, classroom activities and games, like blocks, and Chinese jumping chess.
Looking forward to seeing them next Sunday!
